Mas Blanc: Difficult to find, almost impossible to leave
Celebrating a quiet and peaceful holiday on the border of the Provence and Cevennes in South-France? You will experience your dream holiday in a holidayhouse or holidayapartment with a (heated) swimming pool. Once you have decided to spend your holiday here, you can start looking forward to it. We offer a 2-, 4-, 6 and 8 person accommodation.
The 12th century Mas Blanc is situated on the border of the Provence and the Cevennen. High up in the mountains above the Cèze river. With every step you take, you will smell thyme, lavender and rosemary. A lovely place you will always remember!
Former monastery
Despite of its 40 hectares, Le Mas Blanc is a small-scale holiday destination, suitable for approximately 25 guests. The former monastery has been restored completely and has been furnished to meet your wishes!
Swimming pool
The swimming pool uses a chlorine-free and salt-free cleansing method, which will definitely increase your swimming fun. Thanks to the heated water (solar panels) you can also swim in spring and autumn. Nature and culture go hand in hand. Historical cities like Avignon, Nîmes and Uzès can easily be reached (within 1 hour). You should also definitely visit the beach of the Mediterranean Sea!
Guest Table
Nowadays, we dine in the room where silkworms used to be bred in the old days. In the evening (in spring and autumn by the fireplace, in summer under the chestnut tree) guests will enjoy a dinner prepared by our chef, using fresh products. You can choose
1) Half board (7 x breakfast and 5 dinners = 210 euro);
2) Just 5 dinners 124,50 euro ( We are closed on Tuesdays and Friday evenings) and
3) Cooking yourself. If you prefer to cook yourself, please inform us during reservation. Of course we will also kindly welcome you. In this case, you will rent a holiday house, at some distance of Le Mas Blanc. Of course you are still a 100% guest of Le Mas Blanc. We will confirm our agreements concerning formula 3 separately. In case you don’t choose one of the 3 formulas, we will register the most common one: formula 2. As a result of its reputation and delicious, light meals publisher Scepter published the book: “Cooking on a mountain”. Our prices, € 24,95 (children € 12-) for the 3-course menu are called “inversely proportional to the quality offered”.
You will experience a remarkable holiday at Le Mas Blanc. French monks chose this location, Dutch idealists restored the building with great care and you will enjoy the result.
